There are many sensors used in smart phones. To facilitates better user experience sensors are used in mobile phones.
Some of the sensors are- Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer and Gyroscope, Light sensor, Digital Compass etc.
Some of the sensors are- Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer and Gyroscope, Light sensor, Digital Compass etc.
Proximity Sensor
It detects the presence of the object near to the phone. Placed near to the earpiece of the phone for a reason that- when you place the handset up to your ear then it turn off the display. This saves battery life as well as prevents accidental screen touch.
Accelerometer and Gyroscope
A sensor that measure proper acceleration. It is used to detect the orientation of the handset.
An accelerometer measures movement of linear acceleration while on the other hand Gyroscope measures movement of angular velocity.
Light sensor
The function of ambient light sensor is to adjust the display brightness. Ultimately it saves battery power as well as life.
The sensor adjust brightness according to the intensity of the light.
Digital Compass
The function of compass is to give proper direction with respect to North pole and South pole of the earth.
